GI's complaint about the game is that it's very frustrating the farther you get in. The latter courses are over-the-top hard, like making one small mistake costs you a race. I've never played F-Zero for N64, so I don't really know what sort of game is in store and if this sort of diffuculty is precedent, so I was wondering what you guys thought of this. Is it really too hard latter on?

They gave it a 8 and 8.25, btw. Their only complaint at all seems to be the diffuculty, so it must be a big deal.

F-Zero X was the easiest of the F-Zero games that I've played. That is including F-Zero and F-Zero: Maximum Velicity. MV was the hardest to play, although that was probably due to the GBA's screen than anything else.

Such is the nature of racing. In the latter stages of a racing game, the game SHOULD be hard. You've played this long already, so if you aren't good, then you don't deserve to win ;p

oih yeah, this game is a huge pain in the dick at times. but it's the kind of difficult that makes you want to perfect your game, no the cheap stupid impoosible kind of difficult.

like i said in other posts though, unlocking the AX cup without an AX machine is going to be about as fun as hitting yourself in the forehead with a pointy part of a hammer. it's hard as fuck.

The original F Zero was an absolute bitch...so I am looking forward to this. I was too good at Fzero X.

gave the demo a run last night. very fast and intense. lucas hit the point right on the head. F-Zero offers the type of difficulty curve that incites players to hone their skills. the visuals are also quite impressive. the official release can't come soon enough.

mmm Tuesday is looking good. No work, F-Zero and renting Two Towers dvd for $1.

Remakes of Mute City,Port Town and Big Blue in there?

Hows the multiplayer? Is it Co-op?

multiplay is what you would expect. no co-op.

as for the soundtrack, well, it's my least favorite from the series (not including maximum velocity). i'd be ashamed if i was wrong here, but from what i can tell, there's only one remake, everything else is new. it's good stuff though, mainly electronical, but some rock stuff in there too.
the stuff that gets played during some of the cinemas though, with actual singing is some really great shit. some of it is hilarious too if you have a good imagination.
