F-Zero GX-AX

I did all the novice and a couple chapters of the story mode, and yeah it's hard, but it never pisses me off. For two reasons, the races are short so who cares if you keep replaying them, and every time I do mess up it's usually my fault and I learn from my mistakes. Sometimes it takes a couple mistakes to learn, but the game isn't cheap hard. It just takes some practice.

I like the boost system also. It opens up more strategy. Harder levels you are going to need your sheilds so you have to decide whether you can make it to the next energy pad without hitting any thing, or play it safe and only boost here and there. All the boosting going on is also why one second you could be in third place then next second you're in 12th place. I like it a lot.

:lol: Good to know I'm not the only one rocking out while doing 1800 k/ph through loops. I can't believe how fast this game is. My favorite so far is Lightning in the last cup. Awesome level.

The music is good...

But I would've liked a bit more emphasis on the tunes from the old games. I mean, sometimes you catch a melody or something from the old music, it's like it's too remixed.

This feels like Sega music to me... lyrics that are so lame and groan inducing that I end up loving them.

The game is fast, the game is hard, but the game is far from impossible. I'd hate to think that some people have been turned away from it because they now think it's "too hard." If you don't go around placing limits on people, you'd be surprised at what they can accomplish. Just because you want to tear through a game for a review and don't take the time to learn the courses, don't go blaming the game.

This game is gorgeous, has some damn hilarious and great music, and handles like a dream.

Is AX out in the arcades yet? I mean, I know it's not coming anywhere near me, but if it's in the arcades SOMEWHERE, I might have to go check it out.

from what i could gather you have to have GX save data on your mem card to use the memory card otherwise you have to save it all on the F-Zero LiscenceCard

alll talking about the Arcade version of this game

plus the mentioning of Lucas about finding it arcades near him

so i think the fact that myself and lucas in the US have played the game in the arcade makes it safe to assume that its out in the arcade

well, for the record, i've only managed to find one japanese version of AX, so it's not like you'll be able to do any of the GX to AX connectivity unless you have the import...which luckily i do.
