well, from the impressions that i've read. during multiplayer, there are changes made to the backrounds, and sometimes there's even stuff missing (like ships that fly around and stuff).

frame rate stays locked at 60 though.

Then that was probably a good move. I prefer smooth gameplay with detail cuts to choppiness.

not suprised, speed has always been Nintendo's main concern when it came to this series. only reason that F-Zero X looks the way it does.

The game is out today, off out in a bit to do my bit to boost first day sales (even though I won't play it much until I get back home to the UK; prefer to play in the arcades).

i doubt it./ unless he's 23967236x more versitile than i give him credit for. this just doesn't seem like his style.
