It just occurred to me. That we've had quite a few 'famous' people die lately.
Buddy Ebsen
Barry White
Buddy Hackett
Katherine Hepburn
Strom Thurmond
Gregory Peck
All in the last month (3 weeks if you drop Peck from the list).
I blame the summer heat. Most lived in California, and it's been rather hot here. Either that, or they died because they were old (Most were over 90). I think I was the saddest when I heard Buddy Ebsen had died. I loved the hillbillies.

I think you could say this all the time though. Strom Thurmond? Yeah, it depends on where you live, really.
NFL and NBA stars of old die at a frequent basis these days because of more teams, etc. String 1 of those, an actor, an old Nobel Prize winner that you don't know...there you go.
Just wait until the superstars of our generation start going. That'll be really weird. Plus, there will be a whole new batch of celebrities.
Yeah I noticed this too... I was pretty shocked about Barry White's death... he was only 58...
I'm just surprised that anyone cares any of these people die.
