I for once CAN suspend my DISBELIEF in the FANTASY movie, so I can live with the fact that big sub wint fit into canals in Venice, but its not a documentary here. You can find plenty of things that dont make sense in Pirates of the Caribean(the film that you said you liked alot), so why dont you go and scrutinize that movie for facts that dont make sense, and some of the dialogs there wont be winning Academy Awards anytime soon either. Doesnt make the film any worse, right? And we both clearly enjoyed it.

I am not trying to convince you or anyone else that LXG is a superior film, but its not fair for it to be bashed so much, especially by people who HAVENT SEEN it in the first place.

I can't beleive you guys are still arguing about this movie.

While this thread has mostly negative reviews I still want to see it along with Pirates of the Caribbean this weekend maybe. It can't be THAT bad.

What I meant was in the film's alternate Venice, there are streets, and the canals are actually big enough to admit the Nautilus. The city itself was different than the one in reality.

You say its Unrealistic !!! But its a Comic book movie. Is Hulk totally realistic? But you enjoyed it enough to forgive the flaws, right?

But the thing is the Comic book was designed to be realistic... yes literary individuals actually lived, but it was the real world in general. It was just an alternate universe where "the great detective" had actually died at the waterfall. If they wanted to take liberties, they should have just invented a city... instead of using venice. Hell they still had alot of the city underwater, which is what makes having streets there impossible in the first place.

This film is based on literary figures of great books, and based solely in reality. There's nothing about the film as supernatural that I am complaining about.

I'm complaining about the lack of any real depth. It's in a different reality, yet Venice is in the same place, has the same name and is based on our city. It's ridiculous.

The Hulk is explained to be realistic. Nothing about it is going to be real, but they avoid pitfalls of the story such as the California being in a god damned rainforest or something stupid like this.

It has to be in the context of the film and this isn't. BTW, you jumped to an assumption on me not seeing it. Me not 'saying' it is not a valid reason.

Exactly. Gaping flaws. But Despair will take every opportunity to make me explain my reasoning for enjoying the Hulk every chance he gets. If anybody has any new information on the Hulk that I missed in that thread, please let me know it in that particular thread.

Where did you get this "reality" thing? Its as much fantasy as it gets. Maybe you should complain that Pirates of Caribean is not realistic since it has curses and undead pirates too?

Venice there is not exactly the same place. I cant understand WHY you continue trying to judge the film with reliastic point of view? It just doesnt make sense.

Yeah, Guy gets exposed to gamma radiation and turns into mad green crushing machine. Truly realistic. And Hulk was still based on our world with OUR history. Dont mixed too things.

You never said that you seen it, but was eager to point out the flaws, most of which you picked up from the posts of other people. How the hell should I know if you seen it or not. And if you did see it, and I assume you did it after you read all the bashing, why did you go to see it anyway, if it was clear that you wont like it? So you can continue posting these complaints?

I already forgot about Hulk, but you for some reason still bring up the subject again and again. Just let it go. You liked Hulk, good for you. And my family enjoyed LXG good for us. What else to argue about?

But it was still underwater... as evidenced by the canals, and the bombs within the city structure, under all the buildings... under water.... so where the hell would the roads be?

Those fucking Hyde transformations.
They were by far the worst fucking transformations I have seen since 80's werewolf flicks... shit there was no transformation involved. It was just: *flash*Here's one state of CG model *flash* here's the next *flash* and here's another... I mean really... that was just terrible. Oh and how about that invisible man shit... when they first meet... he puts only a bit of the white paint on the front of his face, and on his ears. Then in the car his entire head is suddenly all white... but then when they get to Dorian Gray's place it's suddenly white on just the face and ears again... that's just fucking laziness... oh and also the fact that the guys beard was showing up BLACK through the white makeup. What the fuck. If you're going to try to do a special effects movie as big as this one... try getting a fucking budget next time.
