Hmm, I dont remember if I tried X button on the map. I know that few other ones did take me out of map menu. Oh well, I think you right, and I will try it at home tonight. Without map it little disorienting, while running in the dark, from the dogs, trying to conserve the gun ammo.

Mall has like a million of these doors, and its only a first area !!! Judging what door you need is quite hard, especially as I said, when being chased by the doggies. And spinning camera tricks just add to the frustration. Its a good game, but these little things are irritating.

A masterpiece, brillant example of the PS2's power and a grand example of video game using atmosphere in a way cinema just can not. Beat it last night and despite plenty o' other games to play I'm tempted to go back in again. Some of the imagery later on is just morbid. Heather is a decent character too, she definitely handles Silent Hill differently from the last two leads.

Well, not as of yet, anyway. If it does come out, don't expect it for atleast another 6 months. The PC version should be out by December.

didnt really look to see if these were posted yet but if you press R in the options menu it brings up another page with blood color, image sharpening and turning off the damn noise filter. also theres a code where that old PI guy (cant remember his name) is wearing only his underwear during some of the cutscenes. silly shit. and i agree....the models are absolutely amazing close up and really show that the ps2 has got some untapped power left.

those are glasstrons! I have a slightly older model, but you get the idea. They are kinda useless except when someone else is using the designated video game TV and i want to play something. oh, and they give you really bad headaches. but everything looks and sounds really really good, which is why silent hill was extra scary. D=

hmm.........a few updates to make to this whole "Sh3 rules" thing...

I just watched Jacob's Ladder for the first time a few minutes ago, and besides all the important Vietnam stuff, WOW this game has a lot of SH3 similarities.
The hospital, and the party scene, and just all this stuff was just SH3 dead on. Even the "twisty head" guys were there! D= it's a very good movie. But it was scary too.

Started playing SH1, because I liked SH3 so much. This whole series is wonderful brilliance. Even though I like SH3 better, SH1 is still totally worth it to play. A lot of things make so much more sense too!!! I hear that SH2 isn't as good as these too, but I want to get it anyway. =X I am sooooo glad I started playing SH3...
