Orange Torchic GBA SP Coming to US
-
Dang, that does look mighty nice.
-
It's neato.
But I don't need another GBA.
-
Looks nice, maybe if they released a Spice Orange Cube I would get this to match, but instead I'll be getting the Platinum GBA SP when I save up the cash...
-
*grumble* why do all the new colors they come out with look good? (and yes i know the torchic one has been out in japan for a while)
-
Because they figured that crappy ones wouldn't be as popular
oh wait...you were being rhetorical ;p
-
yes i was....i mean really....have they come out with an SP color that is unwanted? i remember the pocket and GBA colors in my head and remember a lot that they could have done without....but so far all of the SP ones are really catchy.

I wouldn't be caught dead with that Boktai LE. Otherwise I agree.

nah, that one's cool.
the torchic one is spiffy but i'm holding out for a hello kitty SP ala my old GBA:

I wish I could get the Torchic stuff removed, but I love the orange on the SP.
-
I wonder what the "Mana Blue" GBA SP color looks like, I want to pick one of those up :D
-
Or the Boktai one, plus coffin. That'd be sweet too (not $200 imported sweet though).
-
Krylon Fusion can be your friend...

I'll probably just get the red SP, soon as Target starts selling 'em.

Yeah, that red color is great. This orange one is nice and it matches my gamecube but the red is just too cool.

You're so wrong.
-
The Boktai one isn't that bad. But none of these are making me run out and buy them. I've yet to purchase an SP, and right now the best looking one is the Flame due out at the end of the year.
-
Meh, I still think the Pearl White FF Tactics and Black ones are cooler. :)
I like the Torchic design on the front, but everytime I look at the color of the system it gives me the sudden urge to eat some orange sherbet.

I read it scratches off pretty easily, but it would take a special sort of person to deface a limited edition unit like that.
Anyway, though I don't like Pokemon, I like Torchic. Who else can say they have a hot chick on their SP?

I like that it comes with a coffin. Ones less step before I bury that dog out back.

That was so lame I burst out laughing. I love stupid puns. I salute you.

I do like the red one. Given that I no longer own a GBA, right now it's coming down to which one comes out first. So Torchic wins.

I suppose that's fair, but it doesn't make sence to me. Right now there are so damned many ways to play GBA games, waiting for an SP model you actually like isn't that big of a deal...to me anyway.

Well, I have a Player but I want portability for August, especially. And I'm not settling for this color - I like it as much as the red, or more. Add in that this is a limited edition, while the red will be available for years, and I think this one's a no-brainer if you need an SP and like the color.
-
Is this metalic? Looks kind of like it, doesn't really look like spice. If they sold one in the Symphonia green i would buy it right now.
-
I'm waiting for the Jet SP. Matching Consoles and Portabes is a fun way to say "I may not be gay, but I still have fashion sense!"

I suppose you're right. The letters "LE" can do much to motivate sales. ;)
Besides, I do like Pokemon, and this would match a Spice Cube ever-so very nicely.

I was bored at work today and reading a new copy of GameNOW magazine. THey had a picture from E3 of a glass case with a GBA SP of every color imaginable in it.

Having your consoles all the same color does not equal fashion sense.
Just ask Regis Philbin.

If anyone else is ordering or thinking about it, keep your eyes peeled. I caught two temp authorizations on my CC.
-
Tragic, you've just made me want to purchase GameNOW magazine. You aren't by any chance able to walk over water now are you?

Ah, GameNOW is fine. I like how he had to have an excuse for why he was reading it, "yeah, i was bored at work soo...". riiiiight.
But GameNOW is cool to have for when you get stuck on a game. Gamefaqs rules and everything but nothing beats having a hard copy magazine to leaf through. Killing trees will never die!
(hmm, wait, does GameNOW even do much strategy anymore? i think they were getting away from it but now they're going back. hmm, can't remember... too much red bull).

That happens sometimes -- I wouldn't worry about it until the transaction clears.
Thanks for the heads up about this, just ordered it -- same price as a standard SP, can't beat that.

Here is a scan of the multiple GBA SPs in different colors shown at E3...
-
Damn Nintendo for teasing us like that!!
-
I'll take one of each, please.
thank you.
