Sucking toes is as bad as molestation.

Surprising? Not really.

Giving life to a guy like that is bad. Not because of what he did, but because of the message it sends to people who would commit such acts. Is it any wonder why guys who molest children wind up killing a large percentage of their victims? Its due to the sentencing. Sure its very wrong for a guy to do this, but if he just sucked some kids' toes, its not as if he completely raped or even killed them.

Life in prison for sucking on toes would be surprising, however I doubt the sentencing will be that severe.

I mean this sort of thing is definitely considered lewd act on a child and borderline molestation, but I think the fact that this guy can get life for this, the same kind of sentence Susan Smith got for drowning her freaking kids and many others have gotten for murder and manslaughter, kind of cheapens the punishment.

This is lewd behavior, definitely. Nevertheless, there is a lot worse shit the guy can do. He did not rape the boys outright or sexually molest them. Nor did he kill them.

I'd give him a year in the pokey, 75 hours of community service, and three years of probation.
