Stealth Link for the GBA and SP

If you havent heard...the inventor of the Afterburner Light kit, TritonLabs, INC. own Adam Curtis, is making a wireless link for the GBA and GBA SP.

You can compete up to 200 feet away. Each unit will cost between $30 and $40, but packs of 2 and 4 will be available at reduced prices. Only draw back is that it drains 2 hours from the GBAs battery, as if the battery life isnt low enough.

Anyone interested in getting this new item? What do you think of it?

That is really cool. I don't see 2 hours as a big problem. The GBASP battery pack lasts what? 18 hours with the light off? The battery life with the light on AND this going the whole time would still be twice as good as a GG's battery life, and there'sno excuse not to have rechargables these days.

Current battery life with the light on on the SP is about 10 hours. Light off is about 15 or so. Nintendo is releasing a longer lasting battery. The new battery lasts 17 hours with the light on and over 20 with the light off.

I fail to see how 10 hours on a charge isn't enough. Unless you're on expedition in Greenland.

That link is totally badass as long as it doesn't require an internal mod. I'd get a pair.

Assuming it works with the GB player, this could be pretty damn sweet.

I regret this not being around when I lived in a dorm. You college guys are lucky.

No internal mod. No need for it. It will just connect to the ext port.

Why can't Nintendo be on the ball like Adam Curtis. They should just hire this guy, problem solved. Unfortunately, regardless how cool this device may be I can't bring myself to purchase any device that's not officially licensed by Nintendo. If my GBA were to stop working one day, I wouldn't know what to do and who to bitch at.

Your loss if you are that timid about third party add ons. His Afterburner kit was a lifesaver and a beautiful piece of engineering. I have faith in this guy.
