Best Buy Rewards program - For those who shop there alot

I shop at Best Buy alot, good prices, fun store. In the mail today I got a reward zone card, I get 10 percent coupons time to time, but this is card like Sam Goody's reward program. Every purchase you earn points, for every dollar you spend you get 100 points. When you reach 12,500 points you get a $5 reward certificate. The card is like $9.99 but if your a preffered customer you may have gotten a free card for a year sent to you like I did. Considering how many cds I buy this card should get alot of use. I hope it works with games. I'm sure it does, but I'll have to confirm that next time I go. Points add up faster than you think and if your gonna buy there anyways it makes sense. If you didn't get a free one I'm sure you can sign up at your local BB and pay the $9.99 fee.

I got this too. I bought a shit load of stuff today and didn't notice it until I got home today. It's free for a year and I buy a fair share of shit from there so it should be worth it for me.

Does this only come in the mail, or can I go to a BB store and pick one up? I have something similar for Suncoast, but their prices are rediculously overpriced.

you can go in and sign up for one. but i'll tell ya, the one i went to, they were pretty agressive in getting people to join. not that any of them went up to me, i had the free membership coupon in my hand the whole time.

I liked it better when it was the Suncoast Producers Club. There used to be weekends where everything you bought was 10% off and there was a scaling system where those who spent more earned more. Now the only do "Tripple Point" weekends.

I shop at the Fuhrer pretty often.

I'll check it out tomorrow. The chick at the counter offered it, but I kindly refused. I hate being force-fed that stuff when I'm in a hurry.

Ironically, Korian, I just got mine today too :)

I will make a lot of use of this, I shop fairly often at Best Buy and, hell, with my parents moving down here to Vegas and the subsequent need to buy appliances and new TVs, I could potentially rack up MUCHO points on this thing within a few months. Rewards here I come! :D

I have the Replay membership I use for my local Media Play, and I'm surprised this Best Buy program is actually WORSE. You have to pay more and spend more (and since they are cheaper, that means buying even more than usual). If my Media Play goes the way of others in the area and becomes a BB, then maybe I'll get one, but I'll probably just end up going totally online for my purchases.

The coupons are good on games FYI, they are also going to be running double point weekends and things like that. You can also rack up points and get bigger reward cards, but you have to use them within 90 days of recieving them.

I still think EB's Edge is pretty good. For 10 bucks, you get 10% off every preowned game for 10 months. Since I look for a lot of older stuff (and even stuff that is practically new), I can find used copies of all the games. I've saved at least 20 bucks with that card in a few months on top of what I saved buying PO already.

Sorry to put this here, but it's another great card ;p

Of course, but I like saving up coupons, and in 3 months time I won't earn enough to get something for "Free." so I'll have to go in, buy something, and have to pay money since it won't be enough. At Media Play, they are good for a year or so, so I can build up, come in, and leave with $50 worth of stuff when I'm broke.

that's why i like the replay program. i can hoard up on the coupons during the year and spend them when i've got enough for something. still not a fan of paying retail prices at sam goody/suncoast/media play though, but i don't mind it so much. i don't really buy from there unless they've got something i can't find elsewhere.

12,500 points divided by 100 points = 125 / Spend $125 and get a $5 gift certificate? :wtf: Is that all you get?

Unfortunately.... Media Play it's spend $100 (not counting bonus points), which is bad enough. Best Buy has things cheaper,so you'll have to buy even MORE just to get $5 back. Can anyone confirm if there are bonus point items or not? I make up a LOT of my MP points from bonus points, so without them, I don't earn much.

You get 5,000 points when you use your card the first time so you only have to spend $75 more to get a $5 gift card. And considering how much I've shopped at Best Buy over the years, I can rack up those 12,500 points relatively quickly.

I can only imagine how many points I'd rack up and gift cards I'd get if we bought our bigscreen TV or washer/dryer from Best Buy after my parents move down here. :D

Today, I just got a bunch of DVDs that I was going to buy anyway. With the 5000 free sign up points, I've got $5 and 2500 points on my way to the next $5. Really, if you tend to buy a lot of DVDs or games from Best Buy (they really have the best DVD sales these days), once you break the $200 mark (like 20 DVDS -- I'll break that level in a month) you've broken even. I figure over the course of the next year, I'm going to make at least $50 in gift certs from DVDs and games I was going to buy anyway.

Plus as a member, they'll send promos your way... extra discounts, extra coupons...

The way I see it... it's just like the club at Sam Goody/Suncoast, except you don't have to overpay 40% for everything you buy.

Just what I was thinking. if you're buying brand new, there's rarely much of a difference when the game is released. Best buy has decent weekly specials too.

I'll just stick with my SONY credit card. Everytime I purchase something on the card, I get 1 point for each dollar. If I purchase a SONY product, I get triple points. I think I have enough to get a TV or maybe a comp.

Only problem is, at my best buy the GC section completely blows. It's horrible, it's like 8 racks where PS2 get's 50 and Xbox gets 40.
