MVS made a good point, in fact, these days marriage is an increasingly risky proposition. Hell, my brother already has a divorce under his belt and he is only 26.
What happens after a divorce should defentitally be redone. Why should one party get another parties stuff when now days both people work?

I know my father was married for 7 years (he was 50, she was 42), she worked 3 months of that time, spent his money, they have no kids, and he wound up paying her alimony.

Suckered into marriage? It was by my assumption that guys did whatever they wanted. And it seemed like some of the aforementioned divorcees either didn't really know the person they were marrying, OR maybe plunged into marrying someone before really thinking about it? And what if the woman happens to make more than the hubby...should she get a pre-nup? Most of you will probably say hell yeah, but since in this day and age the majority is the guys making more $$$, and this society driven by squeezing all you can out of everyone else(lawsuits/suing for stupid sh*t, most non self-supportive women thinking they "deserve" 1/2, etc.)...The list of "downtrodden" men will continue.
As much as marriage is for suckers, pre-nups are worse.
The marriage and divorce system isn't fair, so I'll pass on it.
