A journey...
I sit here now reflecting on my life, thinking about how many times I've defied the odds, thankful to be alive. Now, I'm a whopping 20 years old, a milestone that no one ever thought I would reach. When I was born 20 years ago, four and a half months before I was expected to arrive, no one thought I would live past one year, and somehow I did. That first year, from facts alone, must have been an extremely trying one for me, although I don't have any actual recollection of it, just hearing stories from my family about what I went through makes me proud to know that I got through it. I can't imagine it being an easy thing to somehow come back to life after clinically dying four times due to pneumonia, yet somehow, through some series of miracles, I did it.
It fills me with pride to know that I managed to get through it all, and did so without letting it get me down in hindsight. Every day for me is something to be proud of, since I've been on seemingly borrowed time since the beginning of my life. I love life now, more than ever, and have accomplished more than anyone ever thought I would. I've achieved nearly every goal I set out for myself, and hopefully, I'll fulfill them all before my final curtain call.

Thanks Arjue. MVS, I think "Running For Home" from the Matthew Good Band would fit it better than any sappy music.
