Ok, the Official Transformers Convetion is happening this weekend. New updates on the 20th Ann. figure and Alternators line.
20th Ann. Optimus: Die Cast Mold, Rubber tires, uber articulation, realistic springloaded suspension, light up chest, pop up communications panel, Megatron Gun. Pulse Rifle, Energy Ax, and Matrix accesories. No word on if there will be a trailer for it. The figure will retail for $75, and be a TRU exclusive, I believe.
The Alternators Line: They WILL be using liscensed cars, such as the WRX. Smokescreen is the first, with Sideswipe (as Dodge Viper now) to follow. 1/24 scale to real cars they are based on. This line is made to have modern cars transform into G1-inspired robots. Smokescreen is coming before Christmas, Sideswipe is coming early next year. These figures will not be store exlusive, and will retail for $20. No word on my the japanese release will be $40, while the US is $20.
Pictures to be attached below. I'll update the other Transformers thread with info on Energon.
Dude...Optimus has a removable Matrix...I don't care if he's without the trailer. That's freaking awesome.
Update: The American release of the 20th ann. figure is due in Feb of next year, and WILL be a TRU/Amazon.com exclusive. $75 price is subject to change. Also, the reason the US release of the Alternators is $20 less than the Japanese release is due to decrease in die-cast content.
75 Bucks for that?
He can stay the fuck back in the 80's for that shit.
