Guess who's back?

Well, I said I'd be back. And sooner than I expected. I thought I'd start off with a modest Capcom related character art image. I actually owe Sidez a great deal of thanks for giving me the inspiration to pick up my pencils the other day and draw Karin (a personal request of his). Think I'll go for Cammy or something next.

...and be gentle folks.

I am still hella rusty IMO, but I hope to try to regularly do something now and then. Think I'll hang around some of those art sites that were recently posted around here for additional inspiration! ^_^

Had to use my digital camera to acquire the image.

Edit: put up a "cleaner" version, but the snapshot I took create a wierd effect for the lines below. odd.

Ya know, Bonus Kun has been asking me to draw her for ...well...years. :lol: And I never have. Got any real good pics of her as reference, and I'll see what I can do. :)

Wish that the atmosphere around here was more hustle and bustle. cigs and furyfox should bring in their friends or perhaps manage things here to turn the scene around!

good to see you're getting back into drawing again. thats a cute little pose there, the curly hair is a nice effect as well.

I like the idea of more hustle and bustle around these parts. Its difficult to commit a certain amount of time to drawing but Id like to see myself get back into more consistantly. doing more can only lead to improvements and Id love to see my skills get a notch or two better by the end of the summer.

thanks, I'll try another go at her possibly in another week (possibly the same pose, but more refined...such the perfectionist I can am) I may just mess with another character. it's been nearly a full year since I've drawned anything.

You haven't lost the touch, Bahn. There's a certain cuteness to your versions of characters that I always like seeing. Though her arm looks thicker than it should be. I'd say the same about her thighs, but this is a Capcom character after all. :p

This place might get more activity with a drawing bbs. The people who I know that draw videogame characters and the like do most of their work on bbses. It would be easier to hold monthly contests and we can even have multiple artists working on the same image.

Thanks man. Yeah send over! Then maybe at that point, we can get furyfox or ...you to like help Hero with the boards and get this place going!

Ya, that arm is a wee thick (guess it's cuz I got a thing for those type of chicks lately) :p

I did get inspiration to draw Karin, but the inspiration for the post itself came elsewhere.

Those are some great pics, bahn. I like your style..very cartoony and round. Karin's face weirds me out a bit, but I see how it works in the style. Mai is great too. Do you ever color them?

No such luck last night. Thought I was feeling it and the result ended up in a sputter, meh.

Thanks Fury, Karin's overall look took me a bit to get used to (I am my own worst critic). I used to color years ago when I used markers. I don't have the time or desire to do CG coloring. I just enjoy penciling/inking actually.
