every character has some moves that, when blocked, leave you wide open to a throw. the only way out is a throw cancel.

I think the item varies from character to character, because I just got a mask that looks exactly like the legendary "Tiger Mask" for finishing training mode with Wolf.Quote:

Problem is, Sarah is very fast as well, much faster I'd say as far as pokes go, and then she has sick juggles. Pai doesn't seem to have any strong options for mid attacks at close range...few characters do...at least compared to Sarah (her f + P, P or K is really good, fast, safe, easy to stagger). Sarah's mid and long-range mid game is great too.Quote:

All of Pai's best stuff is high, and her stance is risky to work with sometimes, although it does have some nice options. Her throws are generally pretty powerful, though, so maybe I'll have to work that angle a bit more.
It seems like my best strategies with Pai right now involve getting space and lunging in with her various cartwheels and their follow-ups; her low-hit guessing games are good against people I assume, but stink against the computer. -and I still feel she lacks adequate mid-pokes...I can't think of any right now with useful follow ups...maybe I forgot something; I'll do the command training again.
I see. I just assumed they all got it, after seeing characters like Lau and Akira with them.Quote:

[random] I haven't played her yet, but, all of the outfits I've seen for Vanessa look exactly the same...did they change her 1P outfit or something?[/random]
yeah, it was too "risque".
But it's okay for Goh to punch boobs? It's okay for Pai's breasts to sway in the wind during her win pose? Vanessa's sort-of bland in those two outfits...censorship = sega -1Quote:

Sorry for the confusion.
Oh and apparently, to get Sarah's Devil Wings you have to...
Beat "Get 5 evading Throw escapes with at least 3 successful throw escapes":
It's one of the quest orders on like, the 6th arcade I think.
That would be all good, had it done 70 damage and not 69. I've gone through the tutorial, and I know about the Smash Cannon, but I can't get myself to do anything 70 or over. :(Quote:

Counterhit smash cannon?
Even easier, smach cannon, then df + P, K then u + k will always net you above 70.
Although, PPPK is pretty easy too.
Korly: I hate that Evade and break throw one...I don't get how it's different from the other quests taks, where you have to evade then do the throw escape...I can always do 10-20 of those. But I can never get any of the 5 in the quest you mention. Is it just because the computer is not trying to throw me when I evade?
