I am wondering the same thing here. There are so far a few quest mode things that need this, and I have tried to throw using everything that I know and not once has it said that I completed the task 1/10 times or what ever.

the type of throw you use isn't important.

every character has several moves that, when blocked, leave said character wide open for a throw. generally, they're high damage moves/launchers (example: jeffrey's flying knee.) if you successfully throw them immediately after blocking one of those moves, you'll be credited with a guaranteed throw.

for practice, try the tutorial training mode.

I live near Pensacola. Every March I go to Megacon in Orlando, last year they had VF4 set up, so they'll probably have Evo up next year.

You have done training, right? That teaches you what a guarenteed throw position is.

Otherwise, it's all about your timing and getting it right after they perform a move which leaves them wide open. Low throws, command throws, whatever, all of them count.

Not that I can play VF4 anymore... :(

I thought that was just his latest pick-up line to get chicks. "Boxer fracture" seems much cooler than "Gamer's thumb."
