Gamepro Editor action figures

Okay, most of us have seen the crappy action figures Gamepro magazine has released (JSRF, Crazy Taxi, etc.). Well, now Gamrpro, in their arrogance and lameness, have seen fit to actually release figures of their own editors. There's a pic at the bottom of the post.

However, this makes me wish that Gamefan had made figs of their editors back in their heyday...A Nick Rox figure with Frames Per Second counting action and Blue Shadow accessories would rock. :)

I'll buy em.

And then make home movies of burning, smashing, and electricuting them. Much fun, AND therapuetic!

Who is their publishing company, and how do they have enough money to just shit out products like that?

Gamepro has a ton of cash, I'm sure. Working at EB has shown me exactly how many people buy that crappy magazine. Every month it easily seels the most amount of copies from what we have in the store (out selling EGM, Play, PSM, OPSM, Game Now, etc.) and it's not just children buying it. People in their 20s and 30s all buy Gamepro.

More power to them.

The Gamepro artwork has always been horrible. I respected Terry's artwork on Gamefan a lot though.

Terry works for Gamepro now? I haven't seen an issue of Gamepro since 95 or so.

The only person I know who gets Gamepro is through a subscription that he doesn't remember sending out for and doesn't pay for. Perhaps he was hopped up on some sort of hallucinogen. But despite it being free, he still doesn't read it.

Oddly, I thought the best-selling magazine at EB was GMR...

These figures have been out for a while now, actually. Every time I see one in the stores I still shake my head and wonder what on earth they were thinking when they made them. If Gamepro editors can have idealized figures then I think I deserve one too, with web forum posting action and little multiple gaming consoles as accessories.
