Very cool. Ill check it out myself. Thanks for the heads up.
I'll keep an eye out for this one.
Awesome.
I love stuff like this.
Neat, I'll be sure to be on the look-see for it.
OMFG! We are Doomed1111!!!!
Cool, we'll be able to spot the Atlantean civilizations now.
Hello little green men!
*waves*
If we all jump up and down the Martian rayguns wont be able to aim at us properly.
Alot of once-a-lifetime astronomical events have happened this century...I'll definitely try to catch this one and snag a picture with my crappy Olympus nightshot setting.
O_o
/me marks August 27th down on his calendar.
I'll be sure to have my digital camera whipped out on that night :D Can't believe such a once-in-an-eternity type thing like this is happening during our short lifetimes. Really cool.
August 27th is a "new moon".
That should make things even more interesting.
So who actually went out and saw this? I didn't have a telescope, but I still got to see it. Every other object in the sky was a muted blue tone, except for one, that was very bright and redish. It was the brightest object in the sky (The moon being covered by clouds at the time).
It hasn't happened yet. It happens at the end of the month.
(Hi , I'm new , btw. I know it's supposed to be message board ettiquette to start a new thread to introduce yourself , but that just seems a little narcsisitic to me. And , in case any of you are wondering and/or care , I'm Misfit from Herv.)
This sounds like it'll be pretty cool. I'll be pissed as all hell if it rains that night though. But the ray guns will probably vaporize the clouds anyway.
NO! You did fine...Quote:
