From has always been great at designing levels. Those few people who actually went all the way through Kings Field and Armored Core got to see some really kickass stuff.
Their character designers are even more amazing, but usually underutilized. They have some BADASS mech cg for Armored Core, but the stuff in-game often doesn't look quite so good.
Their problem has always been spectacularly shitty play control and/or balance. From the sounds of things they nailed it with this game. I wish I could pick it up, but I'm neck deep in work, I can't even play the other deluge of great stuff that just came out :(
Still going! On Four Guardians mission, using lv. 3 Soryu and Holy Staff. Hoping to finish tonight, then get cracking on 2nd Play.
I am enjoying everything about Otogi immensely...well, except for the accursed "escort" mission!!! Certainly one of the top of the year for me.
Releasing 100% souls gets you an all-powerful sword called Moonlight - it kills most enemies in one or two hits.
Okay, I'm stuck on level 4 ("NONE SHALL PASS"!) Maybe I'm missing something but the freaking boss is impossible.
Help?
Just keep whacking him with dash hard attack and ignore all his skelelton buddies. Only takes 3-4 hits to kill him.Quote:

Damn, Under 1 minute its quite an accomplishment :) It takes us much longer, but we dont have Hammer yet.
Right now dj is on Water Tower level, and first few tries he got his ass whooped, so now he wants me to beat that level. Since I'm done with SH3, I can finally concentrate on Otogi.
