Well, I will try demo tonight. I heard that character in Otogi is slower than Hotsuma in Shinobi, so I do hope that the camera have enough speed to follow him, and not get lost in on the way. We shall see.Quote:

i really like it, the demo oozes grace and style,and raikou is a very good character design. the fighting does seem simple, but i am getting better at air comboing. I also loved the different swords and spells, dragon and phoenix both were beautifully done, and the double dragon spear was beautifully animated. I did definitly look foreward to it, but now, i feel more confident in the purchase. This may be the first game that despair and i both like. :lol:

Ok, Finally got me a demo of it. So me and DJ played it last night. Very impressive. I like its style, the freedom of movements, with fast attacks that take you into the sky and then you can air dash almost forever, or simply choose to glide. Very cool. We did experience some camera hick-ups, mainly in the small canyon, where you get to fight Spear Skeletons, but it wanst that bad, and once you learn about places like that you can easily avoid the problem next time you play.
As I said visuals are great, and this is a pretty simple level. I love destructible environments, everything created with lots of care. The game really feels like a mix of Shinobi, DMC and GunValkirie as it was noted before, but with better control than later.
I like how before you start the level, you have an option of selecting your weapon(with each weapon haing different animation and attacks that can be performed with it), magic and special item. The menues and color scheme is also unusual but cool.
We both were QUITE impressed, and on 27th this game will be ours for sure.
damn, didn't think it was coming out so soon. I hope one of the stores around here gets that demo soon because I've wanted to play this game for a while
Oh Damn...i gots to hurry and beat Chaos Legion...hmm..i can't wait...From Software a.k.a. the Masters of Mediocrity seem to have come through with a real gem.Ahh sweet Augest,first Chaos Legion,than Madden 2004,than Soul Calibur 2,than Otogi...yeah,i like this month.

I'm liking the Otogi demo a lot. The level of object destructivity is very high so it's great if you're in a smash the shit out of everything mood. It feels like a modern take on the beat 'em up genre.
I still don't have my demo. :(
Maybe Friday. I'm really friggin' geared up to play it though.
Definitely from the Final Fight school. Something about this game feels very 16-bit era; I just wish it was more Streets of Rage with a few more command moves.Quote:
