Every major study I've seen has shown that homeschooling does nothing but increase the average test score and does not affect negatively the social skills of the child.

That's what the big deal is. If it were a private school, fine, as the only people paying will be those who want to either attend the school, or donate funds willingly. But it isn't.

MVS is right, you might be pissed that tax dollars fund this, but tax dollars are funding things, at least at amounts I see as inappropraite, I disagree with. You cannot choose, nor can I.

I didn't. No way does a kid at that age know their sexual orientation, that's bullshit. Putting them in that sort of environment at such an early age is ridiculous.

They accept children as young as 12, I find that a bit off. 18 I can accept, whereby the individual is regarded as an adult and can make these decisions his/herself and be developed mentally enough.

I am as tolerant as can be but this self imposed segregation is running away from the problem and is not preparing these children for later life. The world is not 100% tolerant sadly and part of growing up is realising this and learning to cope with it which I doubt this learning environment can provide (regarding sexuality issues).
