Yeah, this is the nail in the coffin of 3DO. Good riddance.

Seems that if you go to the 3DO site, you can place bids on their different shitty franchises...other than maybe the 4 Horsemen game, I think we should start a collection here at TNL, buy all the franchises, and bury them out in the desert along with all those old E.T. Atari 2600 carts to ensure they never see the light of day again...though, in the hands of actual good designers and developers, some of them could be decent.

I hope that some decent developer(Capcom maybe) would buy 4 Horseman, and release it. It did look like a pretty cool game.

Do they own the Star Control franchise? I would buy that if I could.

A lot of people here seem to think they can pump out better games than other companies. Buy 3DO and make good on your claim.

3D0 wasn't all bad, it's a shame to see the company end like "this."

The Star Control franchise is owned by Infogrames/Atari since they bought Accolade a while back.

Star control 2 went opensource..I doubt Atarigrams has the licence anymore, or let it lapse.
