LucasArts has announced that Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike for GameCube will come with a bonus disc that includes a port of the 1982 Star Wars Arcade game. The bonus disc will also contain a trailer for Gladius and a trailer and demo for Rebel Strike.
Rebel Strike is scheduled for release on October 14.

Good news, Lucas. Maybe they'll put Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom on a future Indy game release- I hope.
It's about time! Star Wars arcade is one of my all time favorite arcade games of the 80's.

I don't believe it had the speeders. I only played it a few times.
That's Return of the Jedi. Domark (now Eidos) brought it to various home computers- I've seen C64 and Atari ST versions.Quote:

This is awesome. I loved the game as a kid. The last time I played it in an arcade was in '95 and it was still excellent. The machine died while I was playing it though and I haven't seen one since.
We're talking the vector graphics Star Wars game, right? Personally I'd love to see a Star Wars arcade game compendium, with both vector games and the other regular ones included. Don't much care about the Sega ones, though. Call me a heretic, I can take it. :)
-edit- Checked the Gamespot article, it is indeed the original vector graphics arcade game. Space dogfighting against Tie Fighters, flying about the Death Star surface taking out towers and bunkers, and the classic trench run. Yeah, I think I'm pre-ordering...
