Well, I'm hoping that Wal-Mart has it tonight, and yes, I know that the odds of that are about one in fifty billion, but I just found out that I won't be able to go out this weekend to EB and such, so this is my best bet towards a brick and mortar store having it now.
F Me for not preordering.

This game really is neat. So far it isn't really hard, but it's strangely compelling to just roll around picking up bigger and bigger stuff. I should also note my "scores" have been badly rated so far too, and I can definitely see playing this every couple months just because its pretty entertaining.
It's feels real polished too, especially for a 20 dollar game. Like Opaque said, the music is great and the controls are solid. The royal theme totally reminds me of A Clockwork Orange :wtf: The interfaces are all super cool/funny, the cutscenes are totally bizarre, and the manual is in color. It really is a good deal. The short length isn't an issue for me though, and I suspect these will be pretty much the only kind of games that I get in the foreseeable future, since I'm getting a bit more casual with my time spent playing games (sadly...not with reading about games).
Yep. Fun game. Kudos to Namco for bringing it over here (the localization is spot-on too, for once). The store I went to actually knew what I was talking about right away when I mentioned it, which is shocking considering the people that work there. That could mean that this game won't get super rare and I won't be able to pawn it off on ebay for hundreds of dollars but...oh well.

11 hours later and it's sitting in my backpack, waiting for me to get home and play it. What's sad is that this is a pretty normal day. Nice color manual for a $20 game, though. :)

Well, so much for checking Wal-Mart tonight. Looks like an online store will be my means of getting this game.
I finished what you call the "story" of the game, as in I built the largest object you build. It was awesome, and huge. In the end, I had picked up entire islands, rainbows, clouds. There was nothing but Ocean. It was awesome.
I want to point out, that saying you beat the game in Katamari is about as significant as saying you beat Tetris or DDR. This is a puzzle game, pure and simple. There is amazing replay value. Also, you can beat the "Story" without finishing the constilations, so it's not like I've even seen all there is to see anyway.
Great Game. Buy it already.
