New Portable Famicom - Game Theory Admiral

Interesting news update from www.ncsx.com about a portable Famicom, with backlit light, and other features, they are accepting email inquires but right now it seems they are not selling it yet. If an adapter becomes availible like the blurb mentioned I'd be interested.

damn, that's pretty sweet. i have a sealed Excitebike that seems to be the from the first print. i'll have to open it up and see if there's a converter in there.

if it works with that, i'll have to pick this up.

Depending on battery life, I might have to get that. Give me 10 hours and you've got a deal.

Wow, that's really quite cool. Looks much better than the Game Axe, in any case, and the price is right. Love the name, too.

$53? Wow. After hearing how poor the build quality of the GameAxe reportedly was, I'll wait until I can hear some reviews about this product before ordering one. But if it is a decent unit with acceptable battery life, I'm in.

I love how the box exactly duplicates the GBA. Logo included. :)

It uses the HK micro famicom connector so it requires an adapter to play even FC games. The adapter is at an angle and somewhat loose so your cart is sticking up at a 90 degree angle to the screen, try putting another FC-NES adapter in there and you will have something that you want to be seen in public with.

Also right now the PAL version is blue, and the NTSC is electric pink :p I also hear the screen sucks (not surprisingly) I'd spend the same cash on an AV famicom, or if you have a PDA get an NES emulator for that, as it's gonna probably have a better screen. This might be cool as a curio, but I hear it really sucks as a portable.

Yeah, after looking up some additional info on Google, I found a picture that pretty much diminished any thought I had about this product.

No thanks. Holding this at an angle like I do most handheld systems will make the cartridge quite obscuring.
