I have no problem with gay/gay-ish people or even "pretty boys".... I think Beckham is one of the most detestable people on the entire planet for other reasons. Pretty spot on. :lol: I still like him though. He's exciting kind of like Deion Sanders was: more style than substance, but nonetheless exciting. And to say he is overrated is right, but not in the sense that he's a horrible player dressed up as the greatest. He is still a good player, but by no means the best. Probably not even in the top 10 worldwide.

Shiiite.. Baroš out til 04, Carragher out six months. :curse: Milan is an especially massive loss, especially since he finally was in the starting XI instead of Heskey. Ah well, I hope Heskey is up for it.... and maybe we'll see a bit of Pongolle (one of the French kids), even though Le Tallec is the one I am super excited about....

Well the OU men's soccer club got it's season underway. I play left fullback and occasionally, left halfback. Our first match was against OCU and we lost 1-0. Disappointing, but then we scrimmaged Norman North and won convincingly 4-1. I had a double with one assist. Our next match is Thursday against the Internationals, which are a pretty decent local club. Wish me luck! :)

Well I don't want to toot my own horn, but I just had a hell of a match today. We played a full scrimmage against Norman High School today in preparation for our match against Internationals tomorrow. We went down 1-0 early and were down 2-0 with about 15 minutes left. As the NHS defenders tried to kill the clock, I made a nicely timed steal and shot in a goal from the near right side of the penalty box. :) After the restart, they went back to the defenders and once again I made an easy steal and then a beautiful cross which was volleyed home by my teammate, Mat. :D When things got rolling again, our defenders made a killer steal near midfield which was knocked up to Mat, who crossed to me and I shot it back for the easy tap in by Mat. A few minutes later the match ended 3-2. My own stat sheet: 1 goal, 2 assists. With that impressive performace I was moved to left winger. I'm pretty happy. Anyone else have any neat football stories?

Lemme guess, you think Spain would win? :p I think that is the best way to do it. Perhaps Giggs can finally get Wales to a major international final. :D

Went out last night to see a film (Cypher, complete cack) but it wasn't on for another hour so we went to a pub for a meal first and to catch the first half of the Arsenal game. My falafel wrap was gorgeous but the football stank. I can't stand Italian football and it pains me to see such a shoddy Arsenal defence. Back in the 90s we weren't so hot up front but at least with Dixon, Adams, Winterburn, Keown and Seamen we had a stunning defence. How things change... We could have salvaged the match had Henry scored the penalty to make it 1-2 then fought back in the second half but really we were not up to it. Nistelrooy is going to have a fucking field day this weekend.

Far from over, we can get 2nd place.

Yeh, I think Spain would win... and I would also want them to win, not that I am a fan of theirs or anything.

It will be great if Wales can make it. I always have a soft spot for them, even if they have that hairy midfielder playing for them. ;)

Well, OU Men's Soccer Club lost to Internationals today, 2-1. It was a pretty uneventful game. I think I can pin our sucky performance on the fact that we haven't really practiced as a complete team yet. Plus most of the team plays American style football which is bad enough.

Spain vs Holland would be a great match, but hopefully it'll be something we can save for Euro 04. I think Holland would win as long as Davids doesn't act the fool and give someone a penalty.

Don't hate on Giggs. :p I'm rooting for Wales to make it. It'd be a pretty feel good story for them.
