well they lost 4-0 with a hatrick from Inzaghi and a penalty from Del Piero, in other matches Holland beat Austria 3-1 i think not really sure cuz that was the score when i started watching the Argentina chile match it ended 2-2 with 3 players sent off, England beat Macidonia 2-1 with goals coming from Rooney & BeckhamQuote:

It's a shame Wales lost, but you had to expect that Italy would really want to make up for losing in Wales. The loss was expected and you can't be upset about it, the thing that burns is that loss to Serbia.
Oh well, maybe Wales can lose in the play-off to Iceland?! ;)

On one hand, I think Kenyon is a fool, although he did bring alot to Man Utd including van Nistelrooy.
On the other hand, I'm getting more than a little fed up with Abramovich's spending spree.

Why is it good that Holland lost? Davids screwed it up for them. I heard that he and Van Nistelrooy got into a scuffle before the match. Holland is one of my fav teams, but I'm sure they'll make it in the playoff.
I don't know why you always root for the crap teams. It's good to see some of them make it, but I want to watch some good teams during Euro 04, not the teams that eek their way in to get blown out in the first round. ;)
I hope Solskjaer plays, but I don't think Nicky Butt will.

Because I don't like Holland and I do like Czech. Czech is one of my favourite countries and the only place I have actually witnessed top flite football with my own eyes. I bought a national team kit there too. Czech is great. :)Quote:

Czech have a lot of great players in the side and historically they have always been a top team. They were #3 in the world not too long ago. They made the finals of Euro 96 (won Euro 76). The old Czechosolvakia was WC runner-up twice (same # of times as Holland) and made the quarters 2 other times. Simply put, they are obviously a better team than Holland right now (being undefeated and beating Holland should make that obvious ehough) and have a better chance of making noise in Portugal, if Holland even makes it there.
As for Sweden, they made it out of the group stage at last year's WC by knocking out Argentina. Holland didn't even make the WC! In 94 Sweden came in 3rd place. When they hosted the WC in the 50s they made it to the Final. Not what I'd call crap, personally.
