Seriously, they have the talent to win, regardless of who plays.
I'd be blaming the players before the manager.
His scheme offers no offensive pressure, especially now that Owen is hurt. That's just the way I see it.Quote:

Liverpool seems to be the same team they have been the past few seasons. Frustrating and inconsistent. :( On form they can beat anyone, but the next week they'll usually lose to a minnow. :p Some fans blame Houllier, some do not. I still believe in him - but I admit I have plenty of concerns and don't agree with some of his tactics and player decisions. It's worth noting that this season there have been many bad injuries, which is an excuse, but there should be better cover because it is bound to happen now and then. :\
I don't think the team will do too much this season. They could always challenge for a Cup and I hope they find enough form to get into the Champions League. I am extremely excited about Le Tallec and Pongolle. Houllier deserves credit for bring them in.
I must admit that this past weekend's disaster did not bother me that much, simply because Patrik Berger is my favourite player and I could not help but feel great for him. The loss to Charlton on the other hand.. that was awful. :curse:
United win at Ibrox to go tops in their Champions League group. Van Nistelrooy didn't score, but thanks to Phil Neville's 5th minute goal, United was able to hold on for the full three points. Job well done by United.
SC
yeah but gotta give Rangers credit they dominated the second half and if barthez was the keeper , they would have scored , overall great gameQuote:

Ferguson bumbles by sitting Keane and subbing Scholes with 20 min left. Poor game by United, no pressure up front and a defense that played like Swiss cheese.

Ronaldo looked real frustrated since he didnt score yet , he kept the ball too much especially in the second half and gaveaway the ball alot , Forlan after scoring the 1st goal wanted to become the hero or somethin he had an opportunity to pass to Ruud and score a certain goal but no he wanted to score himself, Ruud didnt hit a single shot because nobody passed the ball to him in a good position , terrible match by United and Fulham deserved to winQuote:

Usually he looks to pass first, but he passed on a wide open Ruud. I heard Man Utd is trying to get a striker from Sao Paolo, Luis Fabiano. I don't know much about him, but they hold him high regards. If they can work it out, then he might be at Old Trafford when the transfer window reopens. Could finally be someone to take some of the load off of Ruud.

Well Iran is back on top of their Asia Cup qualifying group with their 3-1 win over DPR Korea in Pyongyang. Ali Karimi had a brace. Good result, especially after getting robbed in Jordan.
SC
Bahrain qualified to the asian cup a week back ;) totally tforgot to post about that
anways Man United beat Leeds 3-2 last night didnt get to watch the game tho good to see them coming back on form , i would have loved it if Ruud scored :\ but good result anyways , i hear Leeds are struggling financially
I didn't see the match either, but I heard it was pretty exciting. I think it was only subs and reserves that played so Ruud was probably just watching. I saw the highlights and Bellion scored a great goal. Djemba-Djemba's goal was pretty good as well.Quote:

the WE7 thread inspired me to resurect this thread , last night Man Utd gave the worst performance EVAR!!! while Arsenal continue their long streek of winning which makes it even more worse for me , Fergie is completly responsible for the loss and the fact that non of our defenders on the pitch could stop Deco
It could be worse, you could be 6th in the table and knocked out of the FA Cup by Portsmouth. :curse:
It's not over til it's over. Arsenal have been known to fall apart (hell, just look at last season and all our champions league campaigns) when it matters most. Resting horseface van nistelrooy was a dumb move from Ferguson though, Fulham are a decent side with or without Saha.
i agree but United have to start a winning run , their playing Fulham again next week in the FA cup ehich is probably the only competition left for us to dream about cuz the CL will probably go to winning side from Madrid-BayrenQuote:

hopefully he will but they have put on a good show against Fulham in the FA cupQuote:

Hehe, Arsenal lose! That's them softened up for Wednesday, COME ON CHELSEA!
Lost again.
Cue Wenger Conspiracy Rant.
The boys were simply too tired. We've used the same starting XI throughout the season whilst Chelsea have a HUGE squad. Money and psychology won this encounter not football. It's fucking stupid having to play so many high profile matches with barely any pause. On friday we have the scousers then on sunday the toon, both chasing 4th place. Totally stupid.
Arsenal played shit, didn't put away their chances and were simply beaten.
No matter how many players are on the squad, manager's get 11 players on the field and 3 subs. If Wenger doesn't use them when he can, he has only himself, and of course the ref, the field, the time of day and the effect of the ambient weather on wingless birds in Pakistan to blame.
Arsenal and Chelsea have played 8 and 7 games since March and niether has an advantage in time off. Chelsea have less time off this month, but you don't hear them making pre-emptive excuses.

Finally Arsenal are by far the biggest cheats in the Premiership. Seriously, you are up there with Porto for gamesmanship. Pires is a diving cretin and can't wait to see what gooners make of him when England play France in Euro 2004.
Oh and Chelsea totally outplayed you in the second half, Lehman is a liability and erm, I don't care cos it now looks like we could win the thing!!!!!!!!!!!! :D  :D
Right now on ESPN2 for those interested (and bereft of greater such availability as I):
UEFA Champions League
Chelsea vs. Barcelona
Stamford Bridge (Chelsea) London, England
1/8th Finals, Leg 2
Edit: Make that 3 goals to nil in the first 19 minutes. Astonishing, see for yourself.
