;3 So, Captain Vegetable... Being as you seemed to be the only person on that UNLIMITED SaGa thread a while ago that showed any interest in the game... Have you played it yet? It's only thirty bucks now... (although it'll probably drop further...)
Yes, I played it...ungh. The art is nice, but the game sucks like few other games do. It really is that bad.
Fury, what's a Star Mage, and how'd you unlock it?

La Pucelle- purifiy enemies w/ streams, equip the leveled items on strong monsters, trade-in the monsters for items with better base stats; enter "hell," try to survive 10 floors & kill as many monster as possible, collect strong weapons upon exit.

Purification versus conversion:

Disgaea- destroying a color crystal (that has color opposite of the tile it's sitting on) will damage all characters or more color crystals (chain reaction again).
So, there are some improvements and similarities. I personally prefer the La Pucelle's domino-like stream system over the color panel system. The latter is just too messy.

Knights require lvl10 mage and a lvl10 female warrior. Same deal, trying to transmigrate into one, and it sounds like they have skills (description is "good at swordplay and magic"). They might just have all-around stats though.
What are the best classes to make in the beginning?
I have an Incompetant Cleric named Molly
An Incompetant Warrior named Bruce's toy
An Incompetant Brawler named Rupaul
I also have those three ducks you get in the tutorial. I use all but 1 to simply use as explosives. Bruce (one of the ducks) is actually pretty strong and a combo by him and Lahraul is strong.
Any suggestions? Also, what's the best way to get mana? Just let one guy kill all the enemies or what?
You can't just let one person kill all the enemies because then 1 person will be responsible for killing all enemies later and also for creating all new characters (and there are limited apprentice slots per mentor).Quote:

The best classes (majin, archer, angel, various monsters) aren't available until you progress further in created character levels and in later chapters, so don't worry too much.

I've just realized that I'm going through the story at a minimal rate and just levelling up and I'm having fun. Great engine.
Angel? There's an Angel class? Is it a monster?
RedCoKid - Thanks for the impressions. I think I'll stick with La Pucelle for now, especially being 30 hours in and wanting to be able to brave hell at least once. Right now I'm working hard to level up Pier's little bitch... err, brother. :p
