You should be able to bribe the senators (except those who "loathe") with something cheap like gum, fairie dust, or candy. Before you enter the senate, make sure that your Influence:Attendance ratio is a large as possible. The official guide even recommends checking the ratio on a calculator to increase your chances for the best. If not, alternate between the X & O buttons until the numbers randomly fall in your favor.

You can also just throw the monster onto your base panel, but who's left inside to be dispatched needs to be able to defeat the monster in a single "turn."

CV: I agree, the whole senate thing just annoys me sometimes. Still working my way up in favor since they never want to pass the prinny land entrance.

ooo interesting.

i just started playing the game, so i'm pretty clueless when it comes to throwing monsters. i just found out that you can create stronger monsters by tossing one into the other. is there a point to this, aside from the extra experience?

Less monsters. But mostly, more experience.

Also, when combining, it will become a higher-level version of whichever monster was higher-leveled to start (or whichever has more HP if same level), so sometimes you can get rid of annoying monster by throwing it into stronger, but simpler, different monster.

I'm probably going to buy the Japanese version of this game once I'm finished with La Pucelle... just another 100 hours or so to go! :p

(I'd like to get the translated version, but I only have a JPS2 and can't afford a whole other system for one game.)

geez, nobody wants to give me this game. I ordered it from gamestop and they didn't ship the game (even though it was in stock). after 5 or 6 days I cancelled it and ordered it from amazon 2 days ago and they still haven't shipped it....probably won't until monday either. bastards

sounds like the game kicks ass though, so I'll just sit here and listen to everyone else enjoy themselves

I have been extremely impressed with Disgaea so far. I am on the Defender of Earth episode (beat the 1st two levels for it) and I am having loads of fun. I never liked SRPGs before (I find FF:T is be extremely boring) but the mix of humor and the fun combat system makes Disgaea a winner in my book.
