Double-Soundtrack the-game-is-released-today goodness!
That's the problem I'm having... it looks awesome, I really want it, but it comes out the same damn week as SC 2 and F-Zero, so I gotta wait for it to hit the bargain bin.Quote:

Whatever.
LoL, last I checked, Soul Calibur 2 had been out for like four months or more. Is it really taking the hardest core gamers on the web all the way up til the American release to get their hands on it?

Here's IGN's review- they loved it.
Quote:
Presentation: 8.0
Plenty of tutorials, an easy-to-use interface, and some of the most engaging characters this season had us hooked from the opening cinematic.
Graphics: 6.5
Technically Disgaea has a mess of camera problems and a limited animation palette. But the appealing 2D style and old-school presentation definitely help bump this one up a few notches.
Sound: 8.0
There's an effort to make Disgaea as jocular as possible, and it succeeds. There are a couple of standout pieces musically, and the option of having both Japanese and English voices is a plus.
Gameplay: 9.0
The premise is simple, but its execution is a lesson in how to do strategy/RPGs correctly. Combat systems, level progression, and the various mini-games hit all the right notes. Simply awesome.
Lasting Appeal: 9.5
Is there anything in Hour of Darkness that you can't do? Multiple endings, 10,000 levels, 120 character classes, 13 episodes, the Item World, and customization out the wazoo is only the beginning.
OVERALL: 9.2
(out of 10 / not an average)

I just played through the training part and so far I have a lot more intrest in this than FFTA, all though I'm sure that game will be great I just think this one will be the better of the two. Either way it's a great time for SRPG.
Wow, if I wasn't thinking the same exact thing. I played a tiny bit of it today and must admit, it's an excellent game. Hopefully it'll usurp FFT as the King of SRPGs, as it deserves to, and FFTA pales in comparison.Quote:

Screw SCII. It's Otogi and Disgaea for me, all around.
Uh oh... don't let Kidnemo hear that...Quote:
