Anyhoo, I didn't mean to bash AFX either. But when you post a review, you should expect some criticism especially when you write a review that includes such bold statements like, "You may never pick up a FF game after this." I think he probably expected nothing but just a group of posts agreeing with his review that KOTOR is a perfect 100% flawless game (sorry buddy, not true).

Also, although he makes some good points involving the storyline and battle system, when AFX stated that he never noticed the reoccurring character models........he really lost some credibility with me. I would go from talking to one character straight to another that is the EXACT same character model many times. This is laughable IMO.

For the record, I liked Carth. What can I say, I like whinny Bill Pullman from Spaceballs lookalikes. So shoot me!

I believe that the "may" in that sentence suggests that you may or may not buy a FF game again. He's not entirely inaccurate, considering I never will.

Also, he (and any other reviewer) didn't expect anything from his review other than for people to read it and perhaps receive help on whether or not they'd like to purchase it. You should also note that he doesn't consider KOTOR a perfect 100% flawless game, as evidenced by the A the game received instead of an A+.

I do agree with your criticism that he should've mentioned the character models though, because that is a rather obvious flaw in the game.

Well, I bought KOTOR after reading AFX's great review! And I think he's right on all the stuff he mentioned in the review!

AFX: I've read alot about this game and it sounds like NWN with a console/Star Wars make-over. Yeah, they're almost the same. The game looks better overall than NWN and the battle engine has been tweaked to some degree (for better and worse). You'll get some deja vu flashes when you play for sure.

I liked the review overall, but I disagree about the lack of random battles. There's definitely respawning semi-random fights and while the main character can avoid them, even if you chose to do so, your campanions are too stupid not to fight. So unless you want them to be constantly at 1 hp you'll have to fight. It's less annoying than the screen flash and battle out of nowhere, but not as good as Grandia 2 where you could really avoid battles without consequences.

Yeah, there are random battles in KOTOR, but I don't mind them since battles don't have the annoying loading/transition crap u find in other RPGs. It's great how seamlessly the battles are integrated with the gameplay in KOTOR.

I love how it takes a PC RPG released on a console for people to finally realize the wonders of aforementioned PC RPGs.

That goes for Morrowind as well.
