Some interesting stuff, specifically the Ninja Gaiden info. But I wish Ferricide had followed up on this question -

Itagaki: I can understand half of what they do, but I can't understand the other half.

The follow up was a bit indirect, but one nonetheless. If you know about the games he mentioned, then I suppose you can understand what he likes in Western games.

fine interview all around. My favorite part was when he seemed to be annoyed by the question about Shinobi. "Just ask someone else that didn't finish it."

All this time I thought Itagaki had worked on the NES Ninja Gaiden games and so I had an obligatory respect for him.

Why is the guy so cocky and able to get so many interviews based on so little in terms of achievement? He's like the Dave Perry of Japan. The fact that his name is more known than Noriyoshi Ohba is disturbing.
