Why is no one talking about F-Zero AC?

Well, I guess we don't really know anything about it...

But it's being made by Amusement Visions! And it'll use the GC memory card to interact with F-Zero GC, the future port! AND it'll be shown at E3! I particularly like the way EGM quoted Toshihiro Nagoshi saying:

"I never imagined I would do a project like this. I feel I have been waiting for this opportunity since I created Daytona USA."

Woot! Respect for the big N. Damn straight.

Man, am I exited. I just hope they make it like F-Zero X, with all them cars all over the place zooming by at breakneck speeds with no slowdown... all too sweet.

So, any of you bastards going to E3 exited over this one?

I get more and more excited about it every day. It would be jawsome to get all these upgrades on your pod at home and bring them to the arcade and wipe out everyone else.

Well it depends on how good the screens are to make my first impressions. I loved F-Zero X and I'm anticipating how they'll upgrade from there such as bustling cities, wider tracks and variations, weather effects, water/particle effects, pilot-vehicle interaction, music, boosts, weapons stuff like that.

Can't wait for E3.

Well I SUPPOSE I was exaggerating there, but the memory card thing could really make for some great customization. I love designing my own things in games, and if I could at least decide how my racer looks I'd be happy.

I don't think you'll be able to upgrade your craft... I was thinking more in the direction that MvsC2 had in Japan, where you can open characters in the arcade, then bring them home with a memory card. Bringing upgrades in to F-Zero would totally change the way the game works.

They BETTER make it like F-Zero X. I think that's one of the most unappreciated games around, and it's mostly the fault of graphics whores. That game played beautifully, moved lightning fast, and had so many damn ships on-screen at once... ah, I love it. Especially on the higher difficulties, when you freaking climb your way to the front of the pile, fighting tooth and nail the whole time, balancing out your shields vs. boosts. Awesome.

PS - and this weird, burnt man BETTER not turn out to be Mulder, or there'll be hell to pay... (sorry, TV's on :D )

I'm definitely excited. Never even played F-Zero X since I don't have an N64, but i've always loved the SNES version and more recently the GBA version. I have the utmost confidence that Amusement Vision will do the series justice. Shit,I'm just excited to see Sega working on a Nintendo franchise.

Should be a tight game. I've never liked a racing game that wasn't made by sega or nintendo, and now that the two have come together, it should blow away the competition.
Depending on what they have playable, this may be the first game I play at SEGA's booth.

I might become more interested as I hear/see more.
