OK... so we finished recording a song.

Well, Rich (no... not that Rich) and I were in the studio the other day and we threw this song together.

Its acoustic, which is not our thing... but it was an alright change of pace.

Its far from perfect, but its something... and I kind of like it.

Its about five megs I believe... I would appreciate any comments (positive or negative) you have.

So, is this a friend's studio, a studio you are renting, a studio you own, or what? I guess you must have relatively ample access to it if you can go in there and compose when inspiration hits.

We had a few songs up, but they are no longer representitive of our sound, so they're down for a bit.

The guitars were recorded with an SM57, and an MK-319. We had a DI running out of the acoustic as well, but it was buzzy, and shitty so we scrapped it.

We built a studio in our practice spot... once I get batterys for my camera I'll take some pictures.
It is the coolest place on earth.

Our setup is:
1.53 GHz Athlon, 2x60GB hard drives in a striped RAID for the audio drive, 512 MB RAM, etc.
M-Audio Delta 1010LT audio card (8 analog in's and out's, 24 bit, 96 KHz)
Steinburg Nuendo recording software (including thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of plugins)
Cheap Behringer mixing board (we're just using it for the pre-amps)
3 Shure SM-57 instrument mic's
1 Shure Beta 52 mic
2 Oktavia MK-319 condensor mic's
