Its the holiday crunch time, and quite a few games are on their way.

TMNT got delayed till Q1 of 2004. Only GBA version will ship this Fall.

Prince of Persia Sands of time: Nov 4
Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy: Nov 10

These are the ones that I'm really looking forward to besides a few that you have listed like Castlevania,Metal Gear Twin snakes,Viewtiful Joe, and Mario Kart. I don't know where I'll come up with all the cash for these games plus peoples birthday and Xmas presents but I will. I can't wait.

Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
Tony Hawk's Underground

November 11
Medal of Honor Rising Sun
Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando

There's also November 24, which will bring Champions of Norrath: Realms of EverQuest.

I still see Gradius V scheduled for February 10, 2004.

Seriously, this thread bums me out. I remember when one could play all the great games in a holiday season, but now you've got to actually make decisions on what to buy. ;)

Looks like it'll be Castlevania, MGS, and Half Life 2 as my three must-buys. Surely I'll cave in on a few (many) more.

I don't know their release dates, but PGR2, Kunoichi, I-Ninja, Beyond Good and Evil, and Worms 3D look interesting. Kunoichi could be next year, but I think the rest will be coming this year.

I compiled a list of only the games that were absolutely "necessary", and uh...that's 17 games up to November. That's a lot. Only time will tell which ones emerge from the winners circle in the end and I deem worthy.

I am also doubtful that DDR Ultramix will make it out before 2004, if ever.

I also doubt that Virtual On Marz will really make it out before '04...

Did you play the demo of Gladius? It was beyond awful. Ugly graphics, the gameplay was poorly thought out and clunky, the overall feeling of the game was boredom... I can't believe they're bothering to finish it and release it.

I don't think Kunoichi will be out in NA this year. Sega's Japanese website says that it will be out in "December undecided"... so you never know.

ps. I-Ninja's date is 19 Nov.

No I didn't. I just thought the trailer looked good.

I could always swap it with Baldurs Gate 2 if the reviews for Gladius are bad.

I thought it looked awesome. I was hoping for a KOTOR battle system in a Roman gladiator setting.

I'm interested in it and everybody's saying it's fun as hell. My brother is getting it, though, along with Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. I was going to get Disgaea instead of Ratchet and Clank 2, but now there's no point.

The gameplay of Gladius mostly consists on hitting a button at the proper time while a line travels over a bar. Sure, you move your troops awkwardly and select slightly different attacks, but the outcome of battles is based on tapping a button at the right time.

I could barely finish one battle. I can't imagine willingly playing a full game. I didn't even like the battle system of KOTOR, but it's ten times better than this crap.

Who's developing this? I've heard a lot about it but I don't why people have so much faith in the quality of it, because the only devs who have made great tennis games are Nintendo and Sega.

Frankly, I hope it rips off Virtua Tennis! As there's no sign whatsoever of a sequel to Tennis 2K2, this is the next best thing on the horizon. As long as it controls well and looks good - both of which seem to be the case so far - I'll be more than satisfied. If it turns out to suck, oh well.....but until we know better, consider me excited.

I have no offficial confirmation, but I sure hope so. September is gonna be kind of a slow month...

From what I've seen, the Europe version was delayed till early next year. Haven't seen anything about the US release being delayed.
