The Rock in Predator 3???

Predator 3: Moviehole talked to Sam Park recently, he's the scribe of a "Predator 3" script that's been toyed with at the moment, and revealed that because of Arnold's political yearnings his character from the first film might be re-cast should the film get given the go-ahead. According to Park there's a chance 'The Rock' is going to be offered the role - “I think this is an excellent idea and could insure the franchise continuing on for many years - Clay McBride and I have definite ideas for sequels with some bizarre twists for the Dutch character and the Predators that we believe will keep the franchise stories fresh and exciting for decades”. Park is next at work on a hardcore horror flick entitled "The Halfway House". Thanks to 'Clint'

Well, Maybe they can change a story so Rock would be Dutch's brother or something? Since there is a Predator book that dealing with Predator Hunt in NY, and Dutch brother is the hero :)

I think it'll be okay if they DON'T make it the same character. Something fresh, like a fresh protagonist would be good. If Arnold can't act full time, then try to get him to do a cameo at the beginning turning down the offer, then maybe recommending The Rocks character for the next best option.

Well it's pretty cool a new Predator movie is being made. If they give this one to Paul Anderson too I'll kill everyone.

I don't think the Rock should play Dutch Schafer. Arnold was so incredibly perfect in that role that theres no point in anyone else trying to fill it.

I'm siding with the opinion that the Rock should play an original character that fits his charismatic persona. I suppose it should take place in the desert this time, as thats a very hot location thats yet to be used.

Dwane is not fit to play a character role who was totally ment for Arnold. Neither by replacement, nor rewrite, it's not acceptable.

Again, As I said, if they would use one of Predator books as base for this movie, they can have Rock as Dutch's brother, and Predators wreaking havoc in NY during one of worst high heat summer.

I like that idea better then the Rock as Dutch.

It would be better if the setting was in the jungle again.
