Dammit, I need some help.
My little brother left the CD ROM drive open (again) and I had the misfortune of sitting down and banging my leg into it, thus making it off track. Is there any way to fix this? I don't want to have to buy a new CD ROM (again).
I did this with my swivel chair once, did you happen to hear any thing snap inside?

That’s good, because I really fucked mine up. just open the computer box and take a look in the CD case, and smack your brother.
Again, go with TNLthugg's suggestion, though if it's just a regular CD-ROM drive, man, they are insanely cheap to buy nowadays, it's probably only set you back $10-20 and not much more for a CDR/RW drive either.
Be more careful in the future...oh, and hit your little brother with an oversized wooden mallet :bang:

I have a 32X CD-ROM drive I'd trade/sell you.

You can remove it and see if you can realign it that way. Holding it is a lot easier if it's outside of the computer and it's also easier to see inside the drive because you can take the bezel off.
Yeah, worst thing would be taking all the screws out and realligning it...
Alright, tomorrow I'll open the clunker up and see what I can do. Thanks for the suggestions, guys.
Hell, maybe I'll upgrade the RAM while it's open. The damn thing's only at 96 MB right now...
