I don't trust it.
Might be alright, but one thing has me sceptical...
The Cube connector is for the analogue port. The Cube only gives progressive scan through its digital port, so the Cube video at least would have to be upscanned, resulting in pixel death...
There's no specs.
Also I don't think I'd call it 'universal' considering it only works with 3 consoles.
And while we're at it, why the hell does it have a memory card plug?!
It could be taking the video in a RGB mode so it might be cool. Then again, it could just be an overpriced composite to VGA box.
Without some specs, I just can't tell.

They only take component video, and the move from progressive scan component to VGA is simple and painless. However, the move from interlaced component to VGA again requires upscanning, resulting in the usual pixel death. I do not know if the above gadgets accept an interlaced signal and upscan it to progressive....If they do, I'm sceptical of the whole thing.
I would almost have total faith in something like this. I'm 99% sure this one would look beautiful.

But remember, this converter will not play PS1 games, or any PS2 games that are interlaced only. If you want the picture on your VGA monitor, the source must be progressive scan with this gadget.
These sentances right here are what let you know this one will look correct in VGA:
"The 9A62 is not a format converter. It passes the horizontal and vertical synchronization timings and pixel content to the outputs without modification. A 480p component video source with a 9A62 requires your SDTV or HDTV monitor to accept a 480p RGB input (480p RGB = VGA, BTW).

Yeah, I've never seen component to VGA in action, but in theory it should be very good.
Ive seen the German X-Box VGA adapter in action, which is essentualy a Component to VGA box, and it looks fantastic.
My Gamecube component to VGA adapter gives a perfect picture as well.Quote:
