Books also teach you japanese. But you have to know japanese to read 1/2 of them though.

Japanese isn't hard to learn at all.

The problem with learning Japanese is all the rules and exceptions you have to learn.
Umm..there are like 7 rules in Japanese and very few exceptions. I can't even think of any exceptions.
Maybe if you mean't remember a lot of characters and homophones, then okay.
English is the language with many rules and exceptions, not Japanese.
