Have any of you guys taken Madden '04 online yet??
The reviews of the online mode have been pretty dreadful from what I've read so far.
I played Gameday online over at a friends place over the weekend and I have to say that it's rather sweet. They have an entire sweet of online tools as well. The realtime weather was particularly fun to play with.
Anyone else taken their football games online yet??
what i've read of the online mode for madden in Gamespy's review was that it was "extremely good", not anything dreadful. it's just that madden focuses on the singleplayer and offline more than the online stuff, which allows them to make really deep game modes like the franchise mode. i'm going to get madden for that reason alone.
Yeah it's all good. I'm not hating on Madden at all, the single player mode is very cool. I just spend more time playing against my friends online and playing in tournaments as compared to building a franchise. From what I've read about the franchise mode though it does sound VERY deep. Gameday works fine for me in that respect though, I guess I'm more into just being the GM.
well yeah i don't want to put gameday down altogether it's just important to me to have quality games because too many developers and publishers dont take the time to give us what we deserve. the thing is, i hope gameday has much-improved offline experience next year, cuz madden is going to beef up their online mode and then gameday won't have much to show for itself.Quote:
