SOrry if this has already been discussed, newbie here. I was reading about the batman and batgirl action figures on the other board, but what's the word on the sin tzu game? I'm a batman fan anyway, so I'll definitely get it, but from what I've seen the game looks to be pretty awesome! Are there demos out or anything yet? Am I in for disappointment?
No, there's no demo yet.
I'm being guardedly optimistic. I think it'll be a good game, but, then again, I haven't seen or played it yet, so my word means shit.

My main complaint is that I wish the game would've allowed up to four people to play at once. That right there would've made this a true gem to behold. Nevertheless, I am still picking it up.
I am sure Makaze, the Ziff Davis crew (thray-walsh, ferricide, dlinn) or GameSpy's BenT had a chance to check it out at E3 as well. Hopefully they're spot this thread and speak on the topic some more!

thray, it has potential to be enjoyable for those that likes Streets of Rage/Turtles though. don't you agree?
Yeah, the variance in opinions among the reviewers means that while it's not for everyone, some gamers will dig it. Seems pretty damn tough, too, which is surprising for a game seemingly aimed kinda young.Quote:

Hey thanks for the info and comments. "Guardedly optimistic" is probably the right way to think about it. I noticed that they seem to be running some cool (for Batman fans anyway) promotions with the release, with Mattel action figures and drawing contests and stuff, plus the usual stuff like extra content on some platforms. Have to wait and see I guess, It's out the middle of next month right?
It's B:TAS style, so I'm confident that at least it will look good. I'd like them to roll out with a decent Bat game, yes i would, but skeptical until i play myself.
I'm really looking forward to this and Drake. I hope they're good.
I played it at E3. It's practically the same game you played years ago as arcade TMNT/Simpsons/X-Men. However, we're no longer in the 90's and there are better things to do than to mash the attack button over and over and over and over again. I'm sure those of you who have a sweet spot for beat-em-up's might find it enjoyable, but I quickly grew bored of smacking waves of dumb AI drones to death (the same goes for the new Turtles game).

I still have fun with beat-'em-ups... hell, I just played through Die Hard Arcade with a friend not too long ago, and it was as great as I remember.
Not enough of these games around, if you ask me.

yeah I think its cool about the figurines. I collect action figures but I hate how they are handed out random because I figured more people would want the Batman. I want the batgirl figurine! i think the game will be cool. I am looking forward to playing batgirl. I enjoy these types of games more if there is a female character in the gameQuote:

While the combat system is not top notch, they are collectibles such as new combos and special moves. Different levels of difficulties for those who thinks the normal mode is too easy. Lots of unlockable goodies. It's a great rental. Nice cinematics by the way.

Yes you can. Each character has three or four grabs (which the player will have to buy from a list a new moves). Some grabs are over-the-top, batman fans might complain to be too accrobatic for its real comic book personality. But who cares, they seem to hurt and thats what counts, right? I'm talking about "multiple punches in the face + front flip over the enemy to land behind and crack his neck" kind of grabs.Quote:
