P.N.03 - official

I'm loving the game, though the backgrounds are starting to get repetitive. The gameplay is damn fun, feeling like a 2D shooter shoved into a third-person game. Maybe a good way to look at it is like a free-roaming version of Dynamite Duke or Charge 'N Blast.

You shoot, you dodge, you try to combo your enemy destructions to chain bonus points. I think the game plays great, and its rythmical exlosive shooting is fun. I can't believe the raping it is getting by IGN and Gamespot - it deserves a hell of a lot better than 5's. I'd give it a 9 right now, but that may change as I play through it for the second time. Gotta see if it holds its fun the second journey through.

Got it on day one, Japan time. It rules and that's all I have to say. You shoot, you dodge. It's an action game and a damn fine one. Those expecting story, fancy cinemas or any sort of wank material need not apply.

On a not-so-entirely-unrelated note, My GameStop was giving away free Vanessa Schnider glasses with a purchase of the game. You know, the cool yellow ones she's wearing on the front of the game cover. They come in a neat frosted clear plastic case with P.N.03 spattered across the front. They're really neat. :D

Yeah...I don't know who these people are, but they have to be some incompetent gamers. I got my first taste of it at PaCrappa's house a few months ago and asked, "OK, what are the buttons?" Within 30 seconds, I had everything figured out. She's a lot more agile than most people who have "played the game" seem to think. SO not only does she not control like a tank (I don't know where this comes from), but the controls are simple. Most of the games getting lauded with praise lately feature characters that don't control nearly as well. The GTA guy? If you think he controls well, then you'll have no problem here. If she controls like a tank, then he must be the Rock of Gibraltar or something.

Just give it a play at a kiosk ;p You'll know whater you like it within minutes, IMO. Don't even have to rent it.

Mutha fuckin' word.

I didnt get to play it alot, but what I did play of it, I enjoyed alot. When I had heard about the tank controls I thought that was the first and last nail in the coffin for the game. But when I played it, it was much more fluid than I had expected, and I could see someone expertly playing the game and making a real awesome visual and gameplay experience. Kinda like Shinobi PS2(not that Im comparing the gameplay of the two in the slightest).
