They'll be foolish if they leave out Snake from the lineup. After all, they did use the Ninja in Krazy Racers.

Awesome. I'm all for these Smash Bros.-type games. Now where's my Nintendo vs Sega?

I'm surprised there isn't more interest in this game. Konami has a huge wealth of characters to use and Hudson has a bunch, especially from their TurboGrafx years.

I'm waiting for this to be unveiled at the Tokyo Game Show next week. Apparently there'll be some Takara characters in the game too. Transformers anyone? Maybe even a Metal Gear Transformer.

I was just thinking, though... will this game be released in America? It would suck to have to start buying import equipment for ANOTHER system...

Sounds pretty cool! I like those characters far more than the Smash Bros lineup. I hope Django makes the mix. :)

There's a site up for this game now. Pretty surprising thing at the end with the outline of a certain transforming red & blue semi.

Awesome. I can't wait to hear the wacky storyline this game must have. Optimus Prime will defeat all!

Also, if the game is going to have a cartoony look as I suspect it will, I don't want to see any MGS characters in it. Except for maybe, a Metal Gear itself. Kawaii Snake? Please don't.

solid snake? i can't imagine a cartoony snake...a cartoony Belmont is hard enough to imagine.

If they don't have the rights to use Bonk, they should negotiate for them. It's not even like it's a full Bonk game or anything. He should be in the game dammit.

Regarding the game coming out in NA: Well, Konami Krazy Racers did... so that should give a little bit of hope.

Might as well throw in everyone from Saturn Bomberman including Kuma and Galaxy Fraulein Yuna...

All I know is it's 4 player this time, but otherwise much the same style.

Cool. If the cast is larger (which I'd be surprised if it isn't) I'll import that one. Playable Rock Lee and it's all good.

There's 6 more yet-unrevealed characters. Not a huge cast, but ought to be enough.

Very cool this is happening, but I really hope the rest of the unrevealed characters are more recognizable, I only recognize half the characters in the game as-is. Bonk (!), Django, Metal Gear, and Jehuty (Optimus/Metal Gear/Jehuty matches would be awesome :)) would all be great additions imo.

Between these shots and the ones on the main site's flash animation, I'm left with my hopes that the game was going to look a bit better than this. I know these shots are small, blurry, and early. I am very glad it appears to be essentially a 2D/2.5D game, as opposed to a 3D overhead game ala Power Stone (nothing against Power Stone).

I always liked the Ayami Kojima design of Simon Belmont, but I kinda wish they went for a more "classic" design for Simon. Oh well. Still anticipating this. If it's even half as fun as SSB:M, it'll be worth every penny.

(... just wish it looked closer to the GC SSB:M than the N64 SSB)

Heh, I meant the second Naruto fighting game for the Cube. But regardless, it's still good to know that about Dream Mix, so thanks.

Although seeing those first shots kinda reaffirms my fears... I don't want to see how bad Snake would look in this game...

(still pulling for Vic Viper as one of the playables)
