TRU buy 2 get 1 free *update* False alarm

Yeah, this belongs in the discount thread, but it's a very good deal and everyone should know about it. Cheapassgamer got a report the other day that all PS2, Xbox, GC, and GBA games will work with the deal. Scroll down a bit-

What I want to know is if you have to get 3 for each system, or if you can mix and match from different consoles. They had the same deal last year, but I think it was in November (it was the same day Vice City was released). Did you have to get 3 from the same console last year?

What I want to know is if the same deal goes for TRU in Canada... because TRU is nowhere near here and I don't want to go out there for nowt.

Amazon.com did this around the time that I got my Playstation 2. I ended up getting Def Jam Vendetta, Splinter Cell and Zone of the Enders 2. Gooood times!

Is it like last year where we can choose any games from any platform, and their not just cycling the buy two get one free mediocre games they've already done twice in the past couple of months?

hell, I work at a TRU and I havent even heard of this ad yet. Then again I usually dont see the ad until the week before it starts.

It's a shame that this deal isn't going down, but I've gotten far too many games in the past few weeks anyways, so it's probably for the best.

I knew it wasnt right. I fucking work there and I didnt hear anything about it. :D

But I'm sure ther will be something like this in Oct or Nov yet. We did it the last 3 years.

Well, might be for the best if it happens in October or November instead, more games I'm waiting for will be out by then. Was kind of straining what to choose for the 3rd game, heheh :D
