Make a DVD cover?

I just won Halo off of eBay for like 12.00 but it has no instructions or cover art. Does anybody know where I can get scans of the cover so that I can print one out to put in the case? Any tips on how to make it look less ghetto would also be appreciated.

Get a high resolution scan, and shrink it to the size you need. Print at the highest quality you can.

I use a program called "Undercover XP" to print out dvd covers.

Search cnet or download.com for it.

Animegirl: If you have a broadband connection, pm me and I'll hook you up with a good quality scan of my Halo insert (if you don't mind it being a Game of the Year edition). If you don't have broadband, I can still give you a lower res scan, but the quality won't be that great.

I'll vouch for that one. I used it to print out my Twisted Metal: Black Online DVD cover, since that game only came in a cardboard sleeve. I scanned the front and back of the sleeve at a friend's house, scanned the spine of another PS2 game (Gauntlet Dark Legacy, if you're curious), then pieced it all together and painted the title on the spine. Yeah, you can either use legal size paper or you can trick your printer by taping on a bit of extra paper onto an 8.5 x 11 sheet. A DVD cover will fit on a standard sheet of letter paper, but most inkjets have a huge margin on the tail end of the sheet that keeps it from printing the whole thing.

Id have to boot that pc to make sure but I beleive the option you want to check in the printer options is "Print to Fit"..

True, that will get the whole image on one standard sheet, but it will shrink the image so it doesn't fit in the DVD case properly.

I can't say I've ever printed DVD inserts but what I do with my Neo Geo MVS inserts is design it in photoshop, and set the EXACT dimensions for the printout, then take it over to a printing place and have them put it on some nice paper. Then just cut it down, and I have a nice, professional insert for 2 bucks.

I use standard off the shelf paper and with print to fit it does indeed fill the entire dvd case.

I have to trim things the paper but the end result is a cover that is perfect and fits.

It all depends on what printer you're using. Most HP inkjets make the image far too small using the "shrink to fit" option.
