C'mon- The Big Lebowski is one of the funniest movies EVER. The Dude is the ultimate hero. It was John Goodmans' best role.

The Dude = me in 15 years :D
"i'll suck your cock for a thousand dollars."
"let me go to a money machine."
John Goodman didn't play the Dude!
I love this movie, and must have seen it at least 20 times, and its still funny. I'm glad the Dude is out there, taking it easy for us sinners.
I might get this movie tomorrow. Will be getting Donnie Darko and Metropolis on dvd..dunno which movie should be the 3rd but I'm tempted to get The Big Lebowski.
Yeah, Great movie. Frikin weird too. All those dreams!!!!
ANd The Dude was great :)
Its by far the Cohen Bros. best film to date. And is one of the single funniest movies ever made. The Dude is my personal hero, and thats the truth. Jeff Bridges is just excellent in that movie, and lets not forget the great performances by John Goodman and Steve Bushemi. I love the fac that the Dude just wears a bothrob and sandles around town, just great! If you have yet to see this movie I recomend renting it or just buying it today, its simply a masterpeice. Also, if you like The Big Lebowski, and the Cohen Bros. rent Raising Arizona, this movie is hilarious as well.
Gonna rent this soon since it sounds like you guys like it.
Did you guys see O Brother Where Out Thou? I am borrowing it from someone and will watch it this weekend.

I reccomend any of the Coen brothers films, though I've never seen Miller's Crossing, and its been forever since I last seen Barton Fink. I seen The Man Who Wasn't There recently. The Coens usually pull a reversal from their last film, and this one is no exception. Instead of the mini-epic of O Brother, its just a noir about a barber, one that doesn't like to talk to people.
Green, Scarlett Johannson is in The Man Who Wasn't There? Heard its one of the best Coen Bros movies.
Yup, Becky is in it.
I dunno about it being one of thier best. I really enjoyed it, it is worth seeing, but I tend to like their movies that have more life in them. Still, you got to hand it to them for making a black and white movie, with such a diffucult character.
Why does everyone like this movie so much? Sure the dude was an interesting character, but they never did anything with it! There were two funny parts in the entire thing, the Jesus, and the Germans, the rest was so boring.
I know i'm a minority, but everyone's undying love for this movie just makes zero sense.
stormy
He went lots of places. He went bowling. He went home. He visited the writer of Bonanza (it was Bonanza, right?, its with an s isn't it?). He went to that rich guy in a wheel chairs place. He went to the supermarket. He went to the sky after he got knocked out. He got into a fight with some nihilists. He had sex with that lady whos name escapes me. He went to the beach to spread ashes (funniest part in the movie to me). He went bowling. He went to that other rich guys place. He went to a police station. He went into some surrealist porn with Sadam in it after being drugged. He seen his landlord perform....something. Quite alot for a lazy guy.
Big Lebowski IS one of the funniest movies ever...it's almost a way of life! Everyone must see it at least once if only to see what happens when you fuck a stranger in the ass! Especially when that stranger is John Goodman! Ahhh such a wonderful film...let's not overlook Steve Buscemi wonderfully playing Donnie. Haha, I can't believe his character was a surfer. :P
