OH! I got it now. You use Feist to build up their mana, then Drain Magic the next turn to steal it away! That makes sense :)Quote:

Okay, so this TOTALLY backfired on me last night. I used "feist" and then one of my opponents used his new found wealth to level up one of his territories to Level 4 before I could use 'Drain Magic" !! I had to wait until one of my opponents used "feist" before I sucked them dry :)Quote:

Ten hours later, I'm in love. People must buy this game.
That's amazing, Kraftwerks! I've been playing it since release day, and I know of several others who haven't been able to put it down since they day they bought it. It's a shame that you've missed out on so much playing time!Quote:

Anyway, welcome to our happy, Manna-filled family!! :)
I was looking through a friends copy of PSM and read the review of it. That reminded me that I had to get into it. Overall the review was good (gave it an 8 i believe), but mentioned how it wasn't newbie friendly. WTF! I didn't read the manual, I just jumped in and started playing. The semi tutorial in the first battle was all I needed to picked up the fundamentals. I fought four battles, and won every one of them. (even though i played for ten hours, I was at work, and constantly interrupted by customers, who though some watched me play, most were more interested in Mafia, True Crime, and -still- GTA. No accounting for taste).
MY last battle wasagainst Leo. He was beating me by like 2500. I was very tempted to just restart the battle, but I soldiered on, and kicked his ass. This game is great.
You are fortunate, my friend. Some folks - myself included - encountered a bit of difficulty when battling Zagol in Dombwood. It took me several attempts to conquer that map, as I went to it directly after winning my first battle in Dunnan, since the path "forks" at that point.Quote:

This game is a total gem. I'm really glad I was finally able to find a copy of it.
If you forgot about this game over the holiday rush, get out there and nab yourself a copy quick! I checked four stores and found ONE store with ONE copy, and they had to dig through their inventory to find it.
