New Media for Ratchet & Clank 2, Drift Racer: Kaido Battle
New Drift Racer: Kaido Battle Screenshots
Sammy Studios has just released 10 new screenshots of their upcoming racer, Drift Racer: Kaido Battle. Developed by Genki (creators of the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series) , Kaido Battle is the authentic simulation of Japan’s latest street racing craze, bringing the sport of 'drift racing' to video games. Set on the notoriously treacherous mountain roads of Japan known as the Kaido, the game gives players the chance to experience the life of an underground drift racer on the very proving grounds where the racing form was born.
Featuring over 120 licensed cars from over a dozen manufacturers, with detailed car tuning using sponsored race parts, the game offers five modes of play for stylistic precision-driving, racing for 1 or 2 players and a career mode that pits players against nearly 200 underground racers in official daytime events and underground nighttime races. Expect Kaido Battle to hit store shelves sometime next year.
Ratchet & Clank 2: Going Commando "Behind the Hero" Trailer
Those who've played Sony's million selling title Ratchet & Clank already know the score with the sequel; it's going to be bigger and better than the first game. What some of you may not know is that our heroes aren't just a bunch of cute furries with an arsenal of weapons that would make Arnold swoon, they're an easy-going duo who just do what needs to be done. In preparation for the game's release later this year, Sony has released a special trailer entitled "Behind the Hero", where we find our um... heroes, telling us about their latest adventure. It's a hefty download at 150 megs, but for those who are broadband-impaired, check out our preview of the game for some select screenshots from the trailer that will tell you the story.
