TGS 2003.

Here's a bit of SNK news via IC to wet your palette:

SNK Playmore has announced the full list of games that they will be showing this TGS - aside from SvC Chaos for PS2, as mentioned yesterday, they'll also be showing SS Zero (arcade) KOF 2001 (PS2), Metal Slug (mobile), and most excitingly - a new title for PS2. This is very nearly certain to be KOF 3D, but we'll find out for sure in a matter of days.

[Also, if you haven't seen it in the official SvC thread: the SvC PS2 port is due December 18.]

i really hope that the kof3d ends up better than most 2d to 3d conversions.

Sammy has announced their lineup for TGS this year - it's rather small, with a total of five PS2 titles. They're demonstrating Seven Samurai 20XX of course, a King Camel slot game, Zero Pilot, a new game based off of the Berzerk manga, and...most excitingly for me - Usagi. Usagi is a dramatic story-based Mahjong game, recently released in the arcades by Warashi of Gekioh fame.

Berserk game! Sammy had some 3D animation of Guts playing in a loop at E3, and that was enough to get me excited :)

is the berserk game set to be a action/adventure game, or a possible fighter?

I bet the new Berserk will be just like the first one.

Presumably a story-driven hack'n'slash like the first one, since it is being made by the same dev and all.

There hasn't been a single new screen shot from Yukes since E3 right? And does anyone know if the rumors of the game starting with the Eclipse massacre being true(I know that there where pics from before that but those could be flashbacks)?

I don't believe that Metal Slug done in 3D would be Metal Slug, but it might still turn out to be a fun game.

I'm secretly hoping that since Berserk is apparently a Sammy title that we'll see an awesomely animated Guts in Sammy vs. Capcom. Griffith can come too.

I'm very, very curious as to what the timeframe for this game will be, and how similar it will be to the DC one. If it goes the same route as the DC one I hope they fix a bunch of the nagging problems that game had (I still enjoyed it despite some of it's annoyances).

SNK had better do the smart thing and add more characters to KOF 3D. Most people who give a damn about the KOF series already have copies of KoF 02 in whatever format. 3D backgrounds are not enough to justify shelling out more $$.
